Only 4 Days Left.. heres a project for you to do in the meantime!

I know you all are biting at the bit to come see us in our new store.. only 4 more days. We thought we would ad a little tutorial so you had something to do while you waited. :)

DIY: Pretty Bows

For this easy project you will need:
-One piece of double sided scrapbook paper (any pattern or colors you like)
-scissors or a paper trimmer (I found that the
trimmer was easier to make sure everything is
straight)
-staples, glue dots, double sided tape or a tape runner ( you can use any combination of these- the staples and a tape runner worked good for me)

Step One: Your going to take your paper and cut 9 strips each 3/4 of a
inch wide. 3 strips need to be 11 inches long, 3 of them 10 inches long, 2 of them 9 inches long, and the last one 3 and 1/2 inches long. (see below)

Step Two: Twist each strip to make a loop on each end and secure in the middle with tape or a staple. Do this to all the strips except the smallest one.

Step Three: Now we are going to start putting our bow together. Spacing the three longest strips equally, layer them on top of eachother. Use tape or glue dots to fasten them together.
Layer the next sized strips onto the first set, then the third set.

Using the last smallest strip fashion a round loop and fasten with a glue dot or tape, then glue or tape the loop into the middle of the bow.
And TAH DAH!!!! You have a pretty homemade bow for wrapping a gift. You can make these bows from scrapbook paper, a magazine page, newspaper comics, really
any kind of paper you can think of! Have fun and be creative! Planning on making some? Send us pictures of your finished bows and you might see them on our blog!
